Why do i write?
direction from within
Like all of us, he was a child born in a time of change. With an eye for flare and a heart that beat after curiosity, he followed down the path of the strange. Leaning into the space left between the strangeness and fear of being strange, a creative mechanic was conceived and what was observed was then digested and reconstructed into energies that would fuel creativity. Early on there was a sense of exchange and a respect for time. Those same principals are reflected in the crafting of each adventure, each situation, each character.
“It is in fact the height of selfishness to merely consume what others create and retreat into a shell of limited goals and immediate pleasures.”
- The Great Robert Greene
evolve into you
The character of self is often lost in the rivers of influence. As identity is the most intimate thing we have to share. Through writing there is a deep dive into self that has one confront the parts that are preferred shaded in darkness. It is in these corners that truth is often stumbled upon and ultimately shared in the form of creativity on page. Each word is a part of the inner self.
“Your life follows your attention. Wherever you look, you end up going.”
-Marth Beck
We create, for it is why we are.
Without the act of creation we defect from the complete being, stifling the growth and amplifying suffering. Why do I write? The best answer is in the realm of this: I create because I was created.
